Typhoon and Rainstorm Guidelines
EfA implements the directives of the Macao S.A.R. government’s Meteorological Department (SMG) when severe weather signals are in force. We always place the safety of our students as an utmost priority during such periods.
In the event of the hoisting of a severe weather signal, SMG will provide a notice period of 2 hours prior to the hoisting of the signal. During that period no further classes shall start. Classes that have started will continue unless they are not due to finish 30 minutes prior to the hoisting of the signal.
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances leading to EfA being forced to cancel any scheduled lesson, a replacement Lesson Credit Voucher will be provided. However, in the event that a lesson was due to conclude within the aforementioned notice period, no replacement Lesson Credit Voucher will be issued. In the event that a lesson is cancelled with less than 20 minutes of class time remaining, no Lesson Credit Voucher shall be issued.
All classes will resume two hours after the lowering of the respective signal.

Onsite Toddler Playgroup and Pre-Kindergarten classes will not be held.
Kindergarten students have the option to attend their classes online via a videoconferencing platform (excludes Drama). Primary, Secondary and Adult classes will continue at our Centres as scheduled. |
Parents of Toddler Playgroup and Pre-Kindergarten students are requested to collect their child from the Learning Centres.
Parents of Kindergarten students opting to attend their class online are advised to set up their videoconferencing equipment 30 minutes before the scheduled lesson start time. A Class ID code will be sent to parents, via SMS, at least 30 minutes before the lesson starts. Parents are advised to contact our hotline (+853 2870 5784 or +853 6612 8030) in the event that they haven’t received their Class ID code. Parents of students of other levels (i.e. Primary and Secondary) as well as Adult students are advised to monitor local weather conditions. No online lessons will be arranged for classes other than those stated. |
